Community groups in a County Durham village can
now spend their time together more comfortably after work was completed
on a major refurbishment.
Tow Law Community Association now has
a brand new floor in their sports hall, including room dividers and full
toilet facilities for disabled users and families, thanks to an £9,417
grant from The Banks Group, via The Banks Community Fund.

Tow Law Community Association has around 430 users and
the Tow Law Community Centre, owned by the Association, had a number of
safety issues associated with various areas in the Community Centre such
as cracking of the floor in the Sports Hall, problems in the toilet/washroom
areas, an outside area that needed paving, general deterioration of the
paint finish in reception areas and stairways.
Now that the works are complete the number of people using the facility has increased. Parents feel encouraged to bring their children to use the facilities which are now clean, bright and meet all the required safety standards.
