Dover Prize 2008
Who can enter?
Entries are invited from artists living or working within the following areas:
TEES VALLEY (i.e. Darlington, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland,
Hartlepool,) DURHAM, NORTHUMBERLAND, TYNE & WEAR, and NORTH YORKSHIRE.
Theme
Does your art reflect the passion and diversity of living in the North?
Entries are invited from all artists of two dimensional artworks on the
theme of ‘NORTHERN HEART’.
Entries
Artists should submit their entries in the form of high quality photographs,
slides, or digital images (approx. 300 dpi) on Compact Disc (not e-mail.)
Receipt of ENTRY FORMS with photographs, slides or digital images of works: before noon on FRIDAY 1st February.
If your work is selected for the Exhibition you will find an invitation to the Prize Giving Evening attached to your notification of results.
Delivery of selected works:
EITHER Saturday 23rd February between 2.00p.m. and 6.00p.m.
OR Monday 25th February between 10.00a.m. and 2.00p.m..
Prize Winners
Prizewinners will be notified by a separate letter. Your actual position
will not be revealed until the Prize-giving Evening on Friday February
29th.
Prize Giving will take place on Friday 29th February
6.30 to 8.00 p.m. All welcome.
Collection of all unsold exhibits:
EITHER Saturday 29th March between 4.00 p.m. and 7.00p.m.
OR Monday 31st March between 10.00a.m. and 2.00p.m.
Security
The exhibition organisers will take all reasonable measures in their power to ensure the security and safe keeping of all works whilst on Council premises. If no insurance value is given on the entry form there can be no recourse to insurance cover.
